This is another brand new Allcorp client who came to us for some assistance to improve their Cairns website design. They came to us with a Wix website, which, in the eyes of professional website developers, is a definite one to avoid. Wix is widely known as the amateur website designer go-to, and Cairns website designs based on the lacklustre platform are very easy to spot.
Wix is a web-based template website builder interface which allows people who don't know how to develop websites, to create an account and populate one of their available website templates. The templates themselves are very boring and unappealing, with design characteristics better suited to a word document rather than the dynamic and creative marketing tool which is the custom developed Cairns website design.
Not only do Wix websites look terrible, they are also slow to load, not very search engine friendly and prone to attacks from hackers. Wix also has very limited development potential. While this probably doesn't matter to the no-code website designers out there, it makes customisation very difficult. With Wix, you're basically stuck with the templates and functions they make available.
The way Allcorp produce websites is different to Wix, where we actually have internal Cairns website developers. A website developer works very differently to a Wix website designer as they actually write all of the code that controls the overall Cairns website design.
